After reading the Cameron Series 1-5 I found myself missing everyone! Well, right after I read Ghetto Pocahontas, and it took me back to some of my favorites. Of course it told the story of Pocahontas which was crazy, sad and unexpected. This book also featured many of my other faves, like Cameron, Silk, and Pure. A great read from page one to the very end. I read this in two sittings, if sleep did not get in my way, I would have read it in one night. I VERY highly suggest this and if you have not read the Cameron series yet, read those and this right after. Now I am off to read the Schemin' series, I already know I'll enjoy it, Jade Jones is very quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. I have been reading this genre since the 80's starting with Donald Goines and Iceburg Slim, Her books are sure to become classics. And if you are in the adult industry, these books are MUST reads! Jade Jones you have done it again. You go 'head with your "BAD" writing skills. After reading this book I know Poco was really just lost and misunderstood. The poor thing dealt with a lot of drama for the sake of wanting to be loved. This combine book will have you see Poco in totally different light. Drama and action filled but everyone has a breaking point. A must read.........
I loved this book it had me from the 1st page. I did have a few problems with misspelled words, but it was not enough to change the way I felt about the story. Ghetto life and a the trappings or written about by many authors, but Jade Jones can not be beat when it comes to a story about the streets.....don't take my word for it try it for yourself.
I loved this book from the first page. Even though Pocahontas was a very treacherous person. I loved her character for some reason. This book was a real page turner and I couldn't put it down. The drama was crazy. I wish I could erase this book from my brain and read it again as if it was the first time. It was well with the money and I definitely would recommend it. Treat yourself don't cheat yourself. So stop reading these reviews and purchase this book now!
I am glad that this book was written. It helped me to fully understand the reasons why Pocahontas was the way she was. I liked how the author incorporated other books and made them all tie in together. Pocahontas found a soft spot in my heart after reading this story. If you know anything about Pocahontas you will want to read this! Great Job Jade Jones!
At first I was upset with this book because of how trifilin' Poca was. Then enters Gambino and I fell in love with him. He made Poca better person until that dreadful day. Poca then reverted back to her old ways and it picks up where Cameron started. I like how all the characters tied in together and the story just flowed. I love reading Jade's books because I know they are going to be straight fire and the story lines are definitely different from the typical urban lit. Looking forward to more of Jade's books.
If you have read any of the Cameron series by Jade, you would know POCA as a ratchet trick!!!! But in this book, I actually got to know the real Pocahontas and see her in a different light. Poca is like the RATCHET lil sister you wanna beat the brakes off of because of the stupid stuff she does.
I loved Gambino and I am glad she got to experience r err all love once in her life.
I also enjoyed the way Jade combined other characters from other books in this story.

"Ghetto Pocahontas Uncut" is my first read by Jade Jones but it certainly will not be my last. Each of these characters had foot lockers full of skeletons and were too scandalous to even care. Let's start with Ms. Pocahontas - a self proclaimed bad chick who couldn't fight worth a lick but constantly stayed in some mess. At times I felt bad for Poca and then she'd turn right around and make me regret my sympathies. Then you've got her child's father Silk who cares about nobody but Silk. Let's just say he stayed up in the mix too. Next up is the oh-so dangerous Gambino, a man of many secrets and deadly talents. He was sexy, slick and dangerous and out of this colorful cast, he was probably the one every reader loved the most. Characters from Jade's other work also make cameos and needless to say I'll be reading their series before the end of the year. Overall Ms. Jade, you did your thing. Love your writing style. You just gained a new reader!
